Book Review: Motley Crue - The Dirt

The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band. Another typical rock n roll tale? Well I suppose it is...if you're living the sex, drugs and rock n roll life.

This story is amazing. This book follows the crazy and reckless lives of Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil and Mick Mars. I first started listening to Motley back in grade school. I remember a friend had a copy of Theatre Of Pain... I don't recall falling in love with the album but I did evently get Shout at The Devil, Too Fast For Love as well as almost all of them since.

The book has alot small chapters consisting of various tales of sex, drugs, some more sex and drugs and oh yeah...some rock n roll. Aside from all of name dropping from almost all the members (besides Mick Mars), this was a great read as a fan of the band. It has tales from the various tours they were on, perspectives from tour managers as well as industry reps.

If you're into the Crue, I recommend this book. I can't believe these guys are still alive and rocking these days. The stories these guys have is almost unbelievable.

Final Days of Camp Snoopy...

We thought we'd head out to the MOA and take in a day of Camp Snoopy before
the name change and all. We all had fun. Gavin went on the log ride, Ethan
went into the Ghost-shooting game and Dad went into the Spongebob Squarepants
virtual ride (with Gavin of course)!

Ever heard of Lingo, Vonage or other voIP services?

I thought I'd put this little advertisement/plug up. Its for the 'new' voice-over-IP (voIP) phones. We go through a place called Lingo. We pay something like $22 a month for free long distance calls anywhere in the US and Canada as well as local calls. There are a couple of differnt plans but with our 'unlimited plan' we still pay less than what we were for our regular phone line.

There are some different carriers/providers out there such as Vonage. Some places offer differnt services with their plans, but Lingo has beenpretty good for the price up till now. We've probably had our service for about a year now. The only drawback is we will sometimes get a delay when we are talking to someone or other times we may get some static on the line.

All you need to sign up for this voIP service to to have a high speed DSL or Cable internet service! Feel free to comment if you have anyquestions. If you signup and refer back to me, we both will get a month of free service with them. Added bonus for us both!
